About Us

The Wellington Asthma Society (Inc) was formed on the 23rd day of March 1973 originally based in Manners St, Wellington. The small Society gained 180 odd members that year.  In 2001 the Society had a name change and is now recognised as the Wellington Regional Asthma Society Incorporated.  As we continue to grow our primary objective as a Society is to improve awareness and self management for people affected by asthma and other respiratory conditions through effective professional health care, education and support.  We provide one to one asthma educational home visits, school, rest home and cord group talks and professional education.  We are a member of Asthma New Zealand - The Lung Association.
